You’ve probably already heard the news, but in case you haven’t: we’re heading to Resolution 2018!
To those unfamiliar with Resolution, it is a platform created by The Place for emerging artists to showcase their dance and performance pieces.
As said on their website, “Resolution exists to support and celebrate UK emerging artists and continues to attract choreographers and performance innovators of all different back grounds, styles and experiences; from contemporary, to hip hop, to Immersive dance theatre and circus…” to allow all to explore ideas.
It’s now a famous yearly festival in the heart of London, where over 70 dance artists and companies use the stage between January and February; and we’ll be one of them next year!
With the current climate of mental health discussion, we’ll be presenting Father Figurine which explores the fragilities and vulnerabilities hidden by a father and son in their fractured relationship. Shinning a light on the male ego through spoken word and hip hop dance.
We’ve worked in London before – holding Hip Hop dance foundation classes, international dance artists workshops, and even dance showcase events – but this will be the first time we’ll be presenting our work in our new skin as a dance theatre making company to a London platform.
This is also a perfect chance for us to show how powerful theatre is in creating more conversations and affecting change closer to those who make decisions politically.
Pardon our excitement!
We’ll be showing our hard work to an audience of up to 300, including industry critics. And we want YOU to be a part of them!
Join us all on January 19th at 7:30pm, and witness an eclectic night of socio-politically mindful work!
